AutoBidMaster Review — What the Copart Broker Charges and Requires.

AutoBidMaster is a Copart broker: it lets people without a dealer license bid on Copart's auctions, including in states where those auctions are restricted to dealers. Membership runs from a free Guest tier to $349 a year, every bid needs a deposit, and payment is due the next business day. Here is what its own help center says, what reviewers report, and the checks to run on a lot before you bid.

Quick Answer

What is AutoBidMaster?
A Copart broker. Its help center says you do not need an automotive dealer license to bid through it, and that it can help from registration through to shipping. You bid on Copart vehicles through your AutoBidMaster account, and it handles the purchase with Copart.
How much does AutoBidMaster cost?
Guest membership is free (one purchase in total, bids up to $1,200). Basic is $35 a year for one vehicle and bids up to $2,200. Advanced is $189 a year for 10 vehicles; Premium is $349 for unlimited purchases. On top of the bid you pay its transaction fee, Copart's auction fee and processing fees.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes, in full, when you have no active bids, no pending purchase and no balance owed. The deposit is 10% of your buyer power, at least $600. Card deposits are a hold that releases after 30 days once the car is paid for and collected; international wire refunds lose a $30 outgoing wire fee.

What AutoBidMaster Is

Many states and countries require specific licenses to bid on certain vehicles at auction, as AutoBidMaster's help center puts it. A broker holds the licenses and buys on your behalf. AutoBidMaster describes itself as a premier Copart broker and says no automotive dealer license is needed to bid through it.

It also covers the states where public buyers are shut out. Its help center names Alabama, Michigan and Wisconsin as dealer-only states and says its brokerage gives access to those auctions without a license. You still pay for the car, the fees and the transport; the broker is the door, not a discount.

Before you deposit

  • Read the rules page. Fees, storage and relisting are all in AutoBidMaster's Rules and Policies.
  • Count the days. Next-business-day payment leaves little time to arrange a wire.
  • Know the title type. A salvage title has to be repaired and inspected before registration in most states.

Membership Tiers and What Each Allows

Read on 15 October 2026. Your deposit, not the tier, sets your buyer power, except where a tier caps the bid.

Guest: free

1 purchase in total. Bids up to $1,200. No reports included. No live auctions.

Basic: $35 a year

1 vehicle. Bids up to $2,200. No reports included. Live bidding on the current lot only.

Advanced: $189 a year

10 vehicles a year. No tier bid cap. 5 vehicle history reports included. All live auctions.

Premium: $349 a year

Unlimited for a year. No tier bid cap. 10 vehicle history reports included. All live auctions.

Deposit: 10% of buyer power

At least $600, which gives $6,000 of buyer power. Bidding higher or on more lots needs more deposit.

Card, wallet, wire or MoneyGram

Deposits can be placed by card, Google Pay or Apple Pay, wire or MoneyGram. A card deposit is a temporary hold, not a charge; wire and MoneyGram deposits stay on the account until you ask for them back.

Fees, Deposit and Deadlines at a Glance

The winning bid is only the start. AutoBidMaster's help center lists its own transaction fee, Copart's auction fee and website processing fees on top of the final price, and the transaction fee depends on your membership tier.

The image puts the deposit rule, the payment deadline and the penalties in one place, so you can price a lot before you bid on it.

What Happens If You Pay Late, or Not at All

Payment, including the auction fees, must reach AutoBidMaster by 5:00 pm Pacific on the next business day after the sale; international customers have until the second business day. Every business day late costs $50. Leave the car on the lot past the grace period, 3 days after a normal auction or 2 after Buy It Now or Make an Offer, and storage is charged daily, rising up to $30 a day.

If you never pay, the car is relisted, you forfeit the deposit, and you are charged a relist penalty of $600 or 10% of the purchase price, whichever is greater, plus the transaction fee for your tier. That is the real cost of a bid placed before the checks were done.

State Rules That Change the Purchase

If the car sits in the same state as your address and that state is California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Missouri, Texas and Wisconsin, AutoBidMaster enrolls you in its Home Delivery service, for an additional fee: in-state purchases there must be delivered by AutoBidMaster or an affiliate.

California has its own process. A California resident buying a car located in California buys through an affiliated dealer, pays 8.75% sales tax at purchase, and receives an Acquisition Bill of Sale (REG 262) instead of a title, which may be converted to a salvage title after repairs and a DMV inspection. A car with a California Non-Repairable title cannot be registered by a California resident.

Quick reference

  • Dealer-only: Alabama, Michigan and Wisconsin, open through the broker.
  • Home Delivery required: in-state buys in 7 states.
  • California in-state: 8.75% tax, REG 262 instead of a title.
  • Export: California buyers exporting the car get the export title if they say so first.

What Reviewers Say

On 15 October 2026, AutoBidMaster's Trustpilot page showed a score of 4.4 out of 5 from 354 reviews. The profile is claimed by the company and marked as a paid Trustpilot subscription, and Trustpilot states that it does not fact-check reviews.

Treat any score as one input. The complaints worth reading before you bid are the ones about fees you did not expect, storage, and title paperwork, because those are where the rules above bite.

Four Checks Before You Bid Through Any Broker

The broker's rules decide what a mistake costs. These decide whether you make one.

What will the title say?

Salvage, rebuilt, non-repairable or clean changes registration, insurance and resale.

What do the photos hide?

Auction photos show the damage that day. Flood, frame and airbag damage often need more than photos.

Which state is the yard in?

It decides who may bid, which taxes apply and whether delivery is mandatory.

What does a no-show cost?

Here, the deposit plus $600 or 10%, whichever is more.
