Porsche Window Sticker by VIN — And Where Build Sheets Fit In.

A Porsche window sticker lists the MSRP and every option with its price, which on a Porsche can be a long list. MonroneyLabels.com has VIN-specific Porsche data from the 1990 model year, the earliest it lists, shared with Honda. VIN Analytics lists Porsche and says build sheets are free for some US and Canadian cars from 2021 and older. Further down: where to get each, 2026 EPA ratings and Porsche's two VIN prefixes.

Quick Answer

How do I get a Porsche window sticker by VIN?
Paid services rebuild it from the VIN: MonroneyLabels.com (Porsche from 1990, $9.99) or VIN Analytics ($9.99). For a free replica, our sticker maker fills in what NHTSA's decoder returns and you add the prices from the paperwork.
What does a Porsche window sticker show?
The MSRP and each factory option's price, the final assembly point, the dealer it was first delivered to, NHTSA crash ratings where they exist, and EPA fuel economy. On this page: Porsche's 2026 EPA figures and VIN prefixes.
Is a Porsche build sheet the same as a window sticker?
No. A build sheet lists the option codes the car was built with; the window sticker is the US Monroney label with the MSRP and each option's price. VIN Analytics says its Porsche build sheets are free for some US and Canadian cars from model year 2021 and older, and the sticker PDF is paid.

What a Porsche Window Sticker Tells You

On a Porsche the options are the story. Paint, wheels, seats and each option package are priced line by line on the sticker, and two cars of the same model and year can differ widely in what they cost new. That makes the sticker, or at least the build sheet, worth having before you negotiate.

The 2026 range in EPA's file runs from the 911 at 15–21 MPG across 20 versions to the electric Taycan and Macan, rated at 77–93 MPGe and 91–105 MPGe.

What a Porsche sticker won't show

  • Accidents or damage: anything after the car left the factory.
  • Later owners: the label stops at the first dealer.
  • Title brands: salvage, flood or rebuilt records.
  • Dealer add-ons: options fitted after delivery to the dealer.

Where to Get a Porsche Window Sticker Now

MonroneyLabels.com lists VIN-specific Porsche data from the 1990 model year, at $9.99 a sticker. VIN Analytics lists Porsche among its brands, at $9.99, and says it supplies the factory original label when it has it and a replica built from the VIN when it doesn't. A car built for sale outside the US usually has no US sticker on file at either.

With the paperwork in hand, a free replica does the job for a sale listing: the VIN fills the decoder fields and you add the Porsche's prices.

Porsche VIN Prefixes (WMI)

The first three characters of a VIN are its World Manufacturer Identifier. These are the 2 that NHTSA lists for Porsche cars, SUVs and trucks.

WP1DR. ING. H.C.F. PORSCHE AGGermanyMPV (SUV, crossover)

NHTSA vPIC, read 23 October 2026. The country is NHTSA's entry for the manufacturer; the sticker's final assembly point names the plant for a specific car.

What Federal Law Puts on the Sticker

Under 15 U.S.C. § 1232, a 1958 law, a new Porsche reaches the dealer with a label on the windshield or a side window: make, model and VIN, final assembly point, the receiving dealer, MSRP, each option's price, the transport charge, the total, and NHTSA's star ratings or a note that there are none. Removing or altering it before the buyer takes delivery can cost up to $1,000 and a year in jail per car (§ 1233), which is why used cars seldom keep theirs.

Porsche's Two VIN Prefixes

NHTSA lists just two prefixes for Porsche: WP0 for passenger cars and WP1 for multipurpose vehicles, the class SUVs fall into. Both are entered under Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG in Germany.

Because the prefix says so little, the window sticker and build sheet do the real work on a Porsche: the model, the exact options and, on the sticker, the dealer it was first delivered to.

Where These Facts Come From

The label rules come from the US Code, the ratings from EPA, the VIN prefixes from NHTSA, and the sellers' coverage from their own pages.

Read on 23 October 2026. EPA adds versions to a model year as they are rated, and sellers change coverage, so check both before relying on a figure. CarCheckerVIN is not affiliated with Porsche, MonroneyLabels.com or VIN Analytics.
